Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott have been spotted sharing a passionate kiss as they said goodbye following their romantic trip to the United States this week

Louis Tomlinson is clearly smitten with Zara McDermott, as the couple were spotted sharing a heartfelt kiss while parting ways after their American getaway.

Recent snaps of the duo, obtained by the Mirror, saying their goodbyes in Malibu reveal their undeniable chemistry, as they hold hands and share a kiss before Zara, 28, heads to the airport following her romantic escapade with the One Direction member, 33.

In the photos, Zara is seen sporting a blue Rotate Sunday tracksuit top with matching joggers, complemented by white and green Adidas trainers.

Looking refreshed from her trip, Zara beams as she heads towards a black car waiting outside the Air BnB they rented for their Malibu stay. Clearly at ease in Louis' presence, she opted for a makeup-free look, her blonde hair cascading down her back.

She accessorised with bold black-rimmed glasses and petite gold hoop earrings.

As she approaches the car, she holds Louis' hand before they share an intense kiss, with Louis gripping Zara's designer jumper as they bid each other farewell. Louis was dressed casually in a navy blue hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side.

Louis donned black socks as he ventured onto the driveway to bid farewell to his new flame, whose romance was subtly introduced while they were in the US last week. Clearly smitten, Louis is seen extending his hand to Zara, who is walking ahead of him, before she takes his hand and they share a kiss.

Body language expert Judi James shared her analysis of the photos and the couple's budding romance, telling the Mirror: "This is a sweet, intense-looking public kiss and the signals from Louis's body language suggest feelings of longing and regret as he kisses Zara goodbye in Malibu.

"His head is straight as he leans in and he seems to grip her arm tightly as though reluctant to let her go and keen to leave a trace of the strength of his emotions to stay with her."

He's dashed out in his socks to deliver this kiss and his angle of lean and his closed eyes suggest he means it.

"Zara, however, appears slightly less engaged. Her head arches away slightly and instead of tilting her head to make the kiss a little more passionate and sensual, she keeps her own head upright. Her response to his almost desperate-looking grasp of her sleeve is to keep her hand with her phone in it held away here."

The couple, whose budding romance came to light after they were seen enjoying an intimate date in Suffolk back in March, have recently been spending time together across the pond. They both posted identical snaps from a Stereophonics gig, and Zara subtly hinted at their relationship on Instagram by sharing a picture of her breakfast that sneakily showcased Louis' inked arm.

This week, following images of Zara and Louis hand-in-hand in the States, Zara's former flame Sam Thompson's pal Pete Wicks shared his thoughts on the new pairing.

While guest-hosting KISS Breakfast with Olivia Attwood, standing in for Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo, Pete commented: "I know them, I have a sight connection there and you know, I'm happy, I'm happy for them..

"That's amazing, I've seen the pictures they're walking through a car park, really romantic... I'm really struggling not to say anything but it is good gossip. I might tell you some more off air.."

Back on British soil, Sam has been diving into his work, spotted on set with ITV's This Morning. The 'I'm A Celebrity' champ, who parted ways with Zara in December, was filming in Bunny, Nottinghamshire, this morning, evidently thriving as he embraced his role for the Friday segment of the popular daytime programme.

He's been set a challenge to try and break a Guinness World Record on today's programme, as he aims to put the most bunny ears on individuals in a given time. The record-breaking attempt is being captured for the ITV daytime show, presented by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

While engaging with the show, Sam shared an image of himself amongst the public in Bunny, excitedly captioning it: "Back home @thismorning" along with a red heart emoji.

Sam has kept quiet regarding his ex's new relationship, yet reports suggest he's begun exploring the dating scene himself. In March, an insider disclosed that Sam is open to dating again, having come to terms with the conclusion of his relationship with Zara "a long time ago".

A source informed the Mirror: "Sam has been making jokes about his life since the break up, and that's not really something you'd be doing if you were experiencing total heartbreak. Of course they were sad, but they sort of accepted it a long time ago."

The source continued: "He has been going out and having fun again, he's not dating anyone but he's been on dates. He's been around the Chelsea crowd and spending a lot of time with Pete [Wicks]. He's really enjoying himself at the moment but doesn't want to be tied down."
